Precision Neuromuscular Therapy (PNMT) is the heart and soul of our massage therapy practice. The founder of BodyWork Associates, Douglas Nelson, is also the creator of Precision Neuromuscular Therapy. Thousands of therapists are studying PNMT with Doug and his teaching staff as seminars are offered from Washington DC to Phoenix. While many of the BWA staff is certified in PNMT (a very rigorous process), every therapist has undergone training in this approach. It is central to everything we do at BWA.

What is PNMT?

In short, it is a problem-solving approach to soft tissue therapy that requires a higher skill level and a deeper understanding from the therapist. PNMT sessions aren't a formula; each session is tailored to the needs of the client.

Is PNMT deep tissue therapy?

In short, no. PNMT is far more advanced. If the client presents with pain in the front of the shoulder, a deep tissue massage will press really hard into the shoulder at the site of the discomfort. In PNMT, the therapist will follow an assessment strategy to discover which of the eight possible muscles could be responsible for the pain. The two most likely muscles don't even attach in the front of the shoulder.  Our goal is to achieve measurable and tangible results for our clients. Clients consistently remark how astonished they are at the amount of improvement we are able to achieve in a short period of time.

The goal of PNMT is soft tissue therapy that gets results in the most efficient and effective way possible.

Seated massage is simply the massage of a client sitting in a special, portable massage chair. The client remains fully clothed and no oils are used while their shoulders, neck, upper back, head and arms are massaged.

Many people in today's workforce suffer from tight muscles, headaches, and repetitive stress injuries. Seated massage is proven effective at relieving stress and tension. The average session, which takes only 15 minutes, is ample time to relax a person, take their minds off any stress, soothe aching necks and backs and revitalize tired bodies.

The business owner benefits because seated massage is a very cost-effective way to provide a release of accumulated physical and mental tension. In turn, this provides an increase in employee productivity, morale, and job satisfaction with a corresponding reduction in absentees.

You do not need to provide any special equipment or dressing rooms. Seated massage takes no more room than a regular office chair and can be done with minimum privacy. It usually is done right in the workplace, oftentimes in the recipient's office.

An On-Location therapist will come to your workplace for 1-hour minimum.
The prices are as follows:
A 10-minute massage is $17
A 15-minute massage is $23
A 20-minute massage is $29
A 30-minute massage is $40

A 45-minute massage is $55

A 60-minute massage is $75

For special events, the hourly rate is $75. The costs can either be paid by the business, the client, or split.
Many businesses find seated massage to be a wonderful way to reward and motivate their employees.
